Who we are
Nimi: Wake Up Alarm Clock ("Nimi", "the app") is an Android app made by Atul Patare, an independent developer ("we", "us"). You can reach us at atulpatare99@gmail.com.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store on a server, sell, rent or share any personal information or usage data. The app has no sign-up or login, so we never know who you are.
The app also does not request the internet permission, so it cannot send information off your device even by accident.
What stays on your phone
To work, Nimi keeps a small file in the app's private storage on your device. It holds:
- your alarms: the time, the days, and the wake-up challenge you chose for each;
- a simple wake-up history: which days you got up on time, were late, missed, or took a rest day, and how many times you snoozed;
- your progress in the app: your streak, your level and the state of your character, such as how many times you have opened the app and what it has been given.
This information is used only to ring your alarms, show your streak and progress, and draw the app. It is never sent to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your phone's settings, deletes all of it.
Backups
Android's built-in Auto Backup may copy the app's data file to your own Google account if you have device backup turned on. That is a feature of your phone and your Google account, controlled by you in Android settings, and we have no access to it. It is what lets you keep your progress when you move to a new phone. You can turn it off in your phone's backup settings.
Permissions, and why Nimi asks for them
Nimi only requests the permissions an alarm clock needs to do its job. None of them are used to collect data.

Third parties
Nimi contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or other third-party code that collects data, and it connects to no outside service. Google Play distributes the app, and Google handles downloads under its own privacy policy. We do not receive personal information from that.
Children
Nimi is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is no children's data to protect or delete.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf. Everything the app knows is on your device, and you control it: delete the app or clear its storage and it is gone. If you are in a region with data-protection rights (such as the EU, UK, California or India) and have a question about them, write to us and we will answer.
Security
Your data is kept in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read on an unmodified Android device. Because nothing leaves your phone, there is no server to breach.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Nimi handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. If a change would mean collecting any information, we will make it clear in the app first.
